A vet found a clutch of golf balls in a dog's stomach while operating on the animal, it has been revealed. A total of 13 balls were found when worried owner Chris Morrison took the five-year-old to the vets after hearing a strange rattling noise coming from his pet. Oscar had munched the balls on his regular walks round a gold course near Dunfermline. According to the Daily Telegraph, one of the balls had been in his stomach so long it had turned black. Mr Morrison said that Oscar must have been eating the golf-related snack for at least several months. Vet Bob Hesketh, who performed the procedure, said that the balls spilled out of the dog's stomach until they had enough to fill a bag. Copyright © Press Association 2010 |
