My name is Ileene Munro i live in Highlands of Scotland in a small village called Hill of Fearn which is 35 miles north of Inverness.
I am 50 years old and have been fostering and rehoming pet birds for over 20 years.I have in this time fostered and rehomed many birds from small Finches to the larger African Greys.
I am home 24/7 and any birds im fostering on temporary basis stay in my home which i can provide cages for but i also have avairies out side which birds go to if they are here permanent and are more suited to the outdoors.
There is no time limit to how long i foster birds for all depends if you are in hospital,moving home or just going on holidays you decide.
I do-not charge money for this service but donations of seed or bird accessories are more than welcome.I am happy for you to visit any time before making the final decision to leave your birds in my care and references can be given if needed.This site is still in process of being up dated..
FERN PET BIRD RESCUE ..is not a registered charity, it is run as a non-profit making organisation, any money i do get ( as some people are generous enough to donate cash) goes directly to the up keep of avaries,food,vet fees.etc.
Things that are very useful are.parrot seed,fruit,veg (fresh),baby toys rattles wooden bricks etc.perspex.sheets for windows.ply board.insulation be it house or packaging from boxes..stain and aviary wire.. .2x2 wood or larger..any cut offs..roof felt |
